SongSmile is a beta platform that helps artists connect with fans through QR codes, tipping, follows, email signups, media, show updates, and Live Now alerts.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using SongSmile.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Name, artist name, username, email address, and account login information
  • Profile information, such as bio, location, links, photos, videos, shows, and artist details
  • Fan actions, such as follows, tips, email signups, messages, and interactions with artist pages
  • Media you upload or submit, including photos, videos, captions, and related metadata
  • Payment-related information processed through our payment provider

SongSmile does not store full credit card numbers. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you use SongSmile, we may collect basic usage information, including:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Pages viewed
  • QR scans and artist page visits
  • Referral and interaction data
  • App performance and error information

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, improve the service, and understand how people use SongSmile.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and improve SongSmile
  • Create and display artist and fan profiles
  • Process tips and payment-related actions
  • Help artists manage fan follows, email signups, shows, and Live Now activity
  • Send account, security, product, and support communications
  • Show fans updates from artists they follow
  • Prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and unauthorized activity
  • Analyze usage and improve the beta product

4. Artist and Fan Visibility

Some information is visible to other users depending on how you use SongSmile.

Artist profile information, public links, shows, media, Live Now status, and approved content may be visible publicly.

If a fan follows an artist, tips an artist, joins an artist's email list, submits media, or interacts with an artist page, certain information may be visible to that artist, such as the fan's name, profile, email address if provided, message, tip details, or submitted media.

Fan email signups are intended to help artists build a fan list and communicate with supporters.

5. Payments

Payments and tips are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. These providers may collect payment information, verify identity, process transactions, and handle fraud prevention.

SongSmile may receive limited payment-related information, such as transaction status, amount, timestamp, and associated artist or fan account, but we do not store full payment card details.

6. Media Uploads and Submissions

Artists may upload media to their profiles. Fans may be able to submit media to artists, depending on artist settings.

Fan-submitted media may be reviewed by the artist before appearing publicly. Do not upload content that you do not have the right to share.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Artists you interact with, follow, tip, message, or join updates from
  • Service providers that help us operate SongSmile, including hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, storage, and communications providers
  • Legal, safety, or compliance parties when required to protect rights, safety, users, or the service
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

8. Communications

You may receive transactional emails related to your account, tips, security, or product activity.

If you join an artist's updates or email list, that artist may be able to contact you using the information you provided. You may opt out of marketing or update communications where available.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide SongSmile, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Because SongSmile is in beta, some data structures and features may change as the product develops.

10. Your Choices

You may be able to update account information, profile details, links, notification preferences, and other settings inside SongSmile.

You may request deletion or correction of your information by contacting us. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention reasons.

11. Children

SongSmile is not intended for children under 13. Users who accept payments or manage artist payout accounts must be legally able to do so or have appropriate authorization.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Beta Product Notice

SongSmile is currently a beta product. Features may change, break, be removed, or be updated as we test and improve the service.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
